National Sales Manager

Traditions Performance Firearms®, a leader in the outdoor industry, is looking for a National Sales Manager to join their team!

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead internal and external sales teams to maximize company revenue and ensure policies and procedures are followed.
  • Conduct internal weekly sales meetings to ensure accountabilities are met on a timely basis.
  • Manage Outside Sales Rep Organizations
  • Create monthly sales reporting for external sales teams, and work with rep groups to ensure sales objectives are met.
  • Work with President to determine company strategy/sales objectives/budgets quarterly, and annually, and execute according to the sales plans.
  • Work with Leadership team to create operational efficiencies, process improvement.
  • Oversee the Customer Service team to ensure that customers achieve excellent customer experience with the company.
  • Set sales programs, identify show specials, promotions consistent with company objectives.
  • Regularly review inventory and align sales plans, promotions to ensure inventory remains at optimum levels to avoid stockouts/overstocks.
  • Manage Key Mass Merchant, Distributor accounts Buy Group, conduct line reviews, and create relationships with customers.
  • Analyze Sales Trends in the firearms industry, with a focus on Big Picture, and the Hunting market niche.
  • Participate in new product design, sales, and marketing
  • Monitor order flow, bookings and invoiced sales on a daily basis.
  • Oversee administration of tradeshow logistics by staff for buy group and distributor shows.
  • Travel as necessary to industry events, customer locations, and tradeshows.
  • Ensure FFL compliance processes are followed for any travel related transportation of firearms.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years industry experience in the firearms business.
  • Knowledge of MS Office programs, including Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint. Advanced Excel skills including knowledge of Power Query, Pivot Tables is required.
  • Knowledge/Experience with ERP systems.  Experience with SAGE 100 preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for customer visits, tradeshows, industry events.

This position is a full time position. This role offers a remote work environment for those based outside of Connecticut, with periodic travel to our headquarters to support collaboration and strategic planning.
