Traditions® Performance Firearms is looking for a Shipping Clerk to join their team!
Responsibilities:
- Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates and working with carriers if necessary.
- Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons, using stenciling equipment.
- Assembles cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers.
- Inserts items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding.
- Accurately and efficiently process orders/shipments through StarShip.
- Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
- Verify the requirements and compliance with individual vendors routing guides.
- Prepare documents such as bill of ladings and shipping orders to route material.
- Perform EDI for orders requiring EDI transmission.
- Process international shipment paperwork accurately and efficiently.
- Assist shipping supervisor in maintaining inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- May operate tier-lift truck or use hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area.
- Help with investigation of shortages/overages, lost/damage claims.
- Follow all safety rules and maintain a clear work area.
- Regular attendance is required.
- May occasionally be required to work overtime.
- Reports to Shipping Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year+ shipping experience.
- Ability to lift 65 lbs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Strong organizational and communication skills, detail oriented.
- Ability to adapt and provide fast response to changes.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as a team member.
